Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 6, 2026
This policy explains what information Xivos ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, how we use it and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you submit our contact form, we collect the name, email address and message you provide. We do not collect payment information.
We also run analytics on this site. See the three sections below for what that involves.
Analytics
We use a self-hosted analytics tool (Umami) running on our own infrastructure atanalytics.betatasters.com. Nothing it collects is sold or shared with an advertising network.
It does not use cookies. For each page view it records the page URL and title, the referring page, your screen size, your browser language, and a general location, browser and operating system derived from your request. It stores a small value in your browser's local storage to recognise repeat page views within a visit. It does not collect your name, email address or IP address as part of this, and it honours your browser's "Do Not Track" setting if you have it enabled.
Session recording
We also load a session recorder alongside the analytics script. This captures how visitors move through pages, including clicks, scrolling and navigation, so we can see where the site is confusing and fix it. We use it to improve the site, not to identify individual people.
If you would rather not be recorded, enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser or blocking analytics.betatasters.com with an ad or script blocker will stop it. You can also email us and we'll remove any recording associated with your visit.
Product analytics (Kissmetrics)
We also use Kissmetrics, a third-party analytics service, loaded fromkissmetrics.io. Unlike the two tools above, this one sends data to a company other than us, and it is governed by their privacy policy as well as this one.
You can always turn it off.If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or "Do Not Track" signal, it is never loaded at all. Otherwise you can switch it off at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, and we'll stop immediately and not load it again.
Where the law requires us to ask permission first — including the UK, the EU/EEA, Switzerland, Brazil and Quebec — we show a banner and load nothing until you accept. We work out which country you're in from your IP address to decide whether to show it. If we can't tell, we ask anyway.
It records the pages you view, the buttons and links you click (including their text and destination), and when you submit a form. It stores an identifier in your browser so that repeat visits can be recognised as the same anonymous person over time.
When you submit our contact form, Kissmetrics records that a submission happened. It does not receive the contents: your name, email address and message are all masked before anything is sent. Those details go only to us, via Formspree.
Declining, or blocking kissmetrics.io with an ad or script blocker, will stop it. You can also email us and we'll delete the data associated with your visit.
How we use it
We use contact form submissions to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the services you've engaged us for. We don't sell your information to third parties.
Third-party services
Our contact form is processed by Formspree, a third-party form backend, and our product analytics are provided by Kissmetrics (described above). Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies. Our web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google when you load a page here. We may also use standard hosting and infrastructure providers to run this site.
Cookies
We set one cookie of our own, named xivos-geo. It stores nothing but a country code, worked out from your IP address, so the site knows whether it needs to ask your permission before loading analytics. It doesn't identify you and isn't used for analytics or advertising. Kissmetrics sets its own identifiers, but only once you've accepted.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Contact us at the email below and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Check back if you want to know what's changed.
